Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Marzaria S. Salvador, just a heartbeat away from the famous Piazza San Marco, Forno d'Asolo is a delightful cafe that provides a wonderful pit-stop for both locals and visitors seeking quality and authenticity. Although the cafe has been reportedly renamed “La Brasiliana,” its roots in providing excellent snacks and beverages remain unshaken.

Stepping inside this cozy spot, you are embraced by the inviting aroma of fresh pastries and brewed coffee. It’s a snug environment, perfect for casual encounters with friends or for a peaceful moment of solitude while enjoying a good book. The ambiance radiates warmth, enhanced by soft music softly playing in the background.

For no-frills, gratifying dining, you can indulge in their freshly prepared focaccias and cannoli, praised by frequent guests as excellent examples of Italian cuisine. Many have expressed joy in sampling their scrumptious paninis, made with local ingredients, each bite washing over you with flavors that are both simple and rich. As customer Gregory Gurvich fondly shares, “The place may not look fancy, but the flavor and service are king.” It’s about feeling good with good food, not about leaning into extravagant décor.

Sipping on a caffè americano or enjoying a warm, flaky croissant becomes an experience akin to savoring a piece of Venetian life—ephemeral yet unforgettable. Janine Morency’s early morning discovery of fresh pastries exemplifies the cafe's commitment to quality, achieving a rare balance between casual comfort and superior taste.

Although Forno d'Asolo may be small and cash-only, it offers incredible value for those who wish to connect with the flavors of Italy in an authentic setting. As Diogo Lapa noted, it feels “a lot more for average people than your usual tourist trap,” making it a true gem for anyone looking for genuine culinary delights away from the bustling tourist spots.

In every bite and sip, a piece of Venetian culture is served—with friendly smiles, attentive service, and a passionate commitment to food that simply makes you feel at home. So next time you find yourself wandering the enchanting streets of Venice, be sure to stop by Forno d'Asolo to experience a little slice of local joy.

Fast and good food. Service 10/10. And enviroment is a little small. There's music too.

We found this little spot on our way to Piazza San Marco. It looked a lot more for average people than your usual tourist trap. We had espresso and cannoli at the counter, and the service was very good. They have a few tables and the atmosphere was cozy, away from the business of the outside streets.

Now called “La Brasiliana”. Excellent caffe americano by him. Very good Paninis made fresh by her. Seating inside or outside. Or stand at a small bar at counter. Locals go here. Cash only.

Excellent food. The Focaccias are excellent as are the Canneloni. Excellent value for money and really friendly and great service. The place may not look fancy. But the flavour and service are king. That is gloriously good. One of the staff is a local born and bred Venetian. Gracie Mille per una experienza súper!

Stumbled upon this place early in the morning and got fresh, warm croissants, the best we had in Italy. Wonderful service, incredible pastries!
